ETSI recently published a new standard regarding monitoring and controlling infrastructure equipment in telecommunications networks. The standard (ETSI ES 202 336-1 V1.3.0 (2025-02)) specifies a generic interface for that type of activity in telecommunications networks, including systems for power supply, cooling, and building environment.

Once the standard is implemented, it will help improve the management of environmental parameters and the network infrastructure. It will also ensure an efficient and secure operation by enabling integration and interoperability between different environmental and infrastructure monitoring systems used in the telecommunications industry.
