ETSI EN 302 977 V2.1.13 specifies the technical characteristics and measurement methods for Vehicle-Mounted Earth Stations (VMES) operating in the 14/12 GHz frequency bands.

The standard covers VMES equipment used for satellite communication, both when the vehicle is in motion and when it is stationary. It includes specifications and requirements for transmission, reception, antennas and polarisation, as well as control and monitoring of the equipment. It is a harmonised standard for access to radio spectrum.
