Standards for EMC and radio spectrum out for withdrawal vote

The standard EN 301 796 V1.1.1 has been in place since 2000 and was developed to specify requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and radio spectrum for CT1 and CT1+ cordless telephones, in accordance with the essential requirements of Article 3.2 of the R&TTE Directive.

The purpose of the standard has been to ensure that this type of telephone meets applicable requirements and can coexist with other radio systems without interference.

The second standard, EN 301 797 V1.1.1, has also been in place since 2000. It was developed to specify requirements for electromagnetic compatibility and radio spectrum for CT2 cordless telephones, in accordance with the essential requirements of Article 3.2 of the R&TTE Directive.

The purpose of this standard has been to ensure that this type of equipment meets applicable requirements and can coexist with other radio systems without interference.

ETSI has now initiated withdrawal votes for these standards. Therefore, at ITS we would like to hear whether they are still in use and if there is an ongoing need to retain them.
