Work Item ETSI EN 303 132 V0.0.0 is a technical standard that defines the strict requirements for a new generation of maritime VHF survival beacons. These devices are equipped with Digital Selective Calling (DSC) Class M, a technology specifically designed to effectively alert rescue services during a maritime distress situation.

The standard will cover both access to the radio spectrum and functionalities to support emergency services during maritime distress situations.
