ETSI has released a new standard, ETSI ES 204 009 V1.1.1 (2025-06), defining requirements for interoperable total conversation services. The specification focuses on user experience and accessibility, with particular attention to human factors.

“Total conversation” includes voice, video, and real-time text, making it essential for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech impairments. The goal is to ensure seamless communication across platforms and service providers, promoting inclusive digital interaction across Europe.
