ETSI has recently published two standards as part of the Environmental Engineering (EE) initiative: one updated and one new standard. The new standard (EN 303 804 V0.0.9 (2025-01)) describes energy efficiency metrics and measurement methods for data storage equipment. The standard’s main purpose is to promote energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of data storage technologies.
