ETSI EN 302 583 is a series of standards within Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) that describes the frame structure, channel coding, and modulation for satellite services targeted at handheld devices (SH) operating below 3 GHz.
The first version, V1.1.2, laid the foundation for efficient and robust satellite TV reception in mobile environments.
The updated version, V1.2.1, includes improvements and adjustments to further enhance the system’s performance and reliability in these applications.
The standards have been published previously, and now ITS will vote on whether to withdraw them or not.
