ETSI has published an updated version of the standard ETSI ETSI EN 302 480 (V3.1.0). The standard focuses on mobile communication systems on board aircraft (MCOBA) and aims to harmonise access to the radio spectrum for these systems.

The new version is designed to enhance communication and the efficient use of radio frequencies on aircraft.
